Salan is an Urdu word that means "curry"

INGREDIENTS :
Lauki (Bottle gourd) juice 1 cup
Oil 1 tsp
Cumin seeds 1 tsp
Tomato puree 4 tbsp
Curd 2 tbsp
Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
Chilli powder 1 tsp
Coriander powder 1 tsp
Cumin powder 1 tsp
Garam masala powder 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Coriander leaves 1 tbsp
PREPARATION :
Heat oil in a saucepan, add the cumin seeds fry for 20 seconds, then add the tomato puree fry it for 30-40 seconds.
Then add the curd and all the spice powder including salt, fry the mix for a few minutes till you see the oil separating from the masala.
Once the masala is cooked then add the lauki juice and boil it on medium to low flame.
The consistency of the salan is up to your preference do you want it a little thick or flowy.
Garnish it with chopped coriander leaves.
You can enjoy this yummy salan with kebabs or biryani
