This is a classic Indian paneer (cottage cheese) recipe that you can make in 30 minutes for dinner or Lunch.

INGREDIENTS :
Paneer (cut into cubes) 300 gms
Methi leaves (cleaned and chopped) 1 cup
Onion (roughly chopped) 2 medium size
Tomato (roughly chopped) 2 medium sizeÂ
Garlic (roughly chopped) 4 cloves
Ginger (roughly chopped) 1 inch
Cashew/almond 2 tbsp
Green chillies 2
Cumin seeds 1 tsp
Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
Red chili powder 1 tsp
Kitchen king masala 1 tsp
Kasturi methi (roasted and crushed) 1 tspÂ
Fresh cream 4 tbsp (optional)
Coriander leaves (chopped) 2 tbsp
Oil 2 tbsp
Butter 1 tbspÂ
PREPARATION :
In a frying pan heat 1 tbsp of oil and add the cumin seeds, then add the onions, ginger and garlic, fry then till the onions become light brown.Â
Then add the tomatoes, green chilies and cashew/almond fry them till the tomatoes cook and become soft.Â
Then, allow the onion-tomato mixture to cool down completely. Take it to mixer and grind it to a smooth paste. The onion-tomato gravy ready
Heat butter in a pan. Add methi leaves along with turmeric powder and saute the leaves for 3-4 minutes till they are cooked.Â
Add onion-tomato gravy along with spices such as coriander powder, red chili powder and salt. Allow the gravy to cook in low flame for 3-4 minutes
Add water to adjust the consistency. Also, crush kasoori methi and add it to the gravy. Also, add cubed paneer and give a good mix.
Allow the gravy to cook for a couple of minutes so that the paneer gets blended with the gravy. Then add fresh cream. Switch off the flame and garnish with coriander leaves.
The rich and creamy Methi Paneer is ready to serve.
